Most hyaluronic acid serums put HA on your skin. This one does that, and then works on two things underneath: making more of your own, and stopping what you have from breaking down.

What is Alastin HA IMMERSE Serum?

Alastin HA IMMERSE Serum is a lightweight hyaluronic acid serum built on Octapeptide-45, which supports the skin's own production of high-molecular hyaluronic acid. Hexapeptide-11 helps prevent the enzymes that break HA down, and silver mushroom extract hydrates on contact. Applied one to two pumps, morning and evening, as the first step after cleansing.

What HA IMMERSE Serum does

Three ingredients, three jobs. Octapeptide-45 helps the skin naturally increase its own high-molecular hyaluronic acid production, which is the long-term half. Hexapeptide-11 helps prevent the production of enzymes that break HA down, so what the skin makes stays longer. Silver mushroom extract provides and encourages hydration now.

Make, preserve, hydrate. Most hyaluronic acid serums only do the third.

What Alastin's testing showed

98% of participants agreed their skin felt smooth immediately after applying. After four weeks, 91% agreed it replenished the moisture in their skin and 91% agreed it improved the overall appearance of their skin. Alastin publishes no participant count. The serum won Best Hyaluronic Acid Serum at the NewBeauty 2022 Beauty Awards, and an Oprah Daily 2022 O-ward for Best Hydrating Serum.

Alastin HA IMMERSE Serum reviews: what buyers report

• A little goes a long way. Two of five reviewers say so unprompted, which matches the one to two pump dose. One describes using a small amount daily without her skin drying out.
• It holds up on skin that is reacting to everything. One buyer describes it as the only HA serum that did not irritate her skin weeks after a laser treatment, when she was still very sensitive.
• Practitioners send people here. One reviewer arrived on a recommendation from her provider, which matches how Alastin distributes.

Who HA IMMERSE Serum suits

Alastin lists the targets as dehydrated, dry, dull and aging skin. Dehydration is a water problem rather than an oil one, so it shows up on oily skin as readily as dry. It goes on before everything else, so it works under whatever you already use. If you are layering it around a treatment, INhance Post-Injection Serum is the short-course product in the range.
