Lakme Teknia Organic Balance Shampoo is a daily shampoo built with organic ingredients that cleanses while balancing the hair's natural oils and pH. It is free of harsh chemicals and formulated to be gentle enough for everyday use.

Who this is for

Sensitive scalps, and anyone who prefers a more natural formula. It is suitable for all hair types and is meant to be used daily without stripping hair or irritating the scalp.

Who should skip it

If your hair carries heavy product buildup or you need a strong clarifying wash to reset the scalp, a gentle daily formula will not cut through that as fast. Keep a clarifying shampoo in rotation for that job and use this one for the everyday washes in between.

How a stylist uses it

Use it as the regular shampoo in a normal wash routine, lather at the scalp, and rinse thoroughly. Follow it with a conditioner matched to how dry the client's hair actually is. Fine or normal hair does fine with a light conditioner, while dry or damaged hair benefits more from something heavier, like the Teknia Deep Care Conditioner in this same line.

How it compares

Against a standard drugstore daily shampoo, the difference the brand points to is the organic ingredient base and the pH-balancing formula, along with being free of harsh chemicals. Whether that is worth it depends on how sensitive the client's scalp is and whether they are already looking for a more natural product.

What to expect

A gentler clean that leaves hair soft, shiny, and manageable, with less irritation for sensitive scalps. The tradeoff is that a gentle formula will not deep-clean heavy buildup as well as a clarifying shampoo, so heavy styling product users may still need one of those occasionally.

Size and value

Priced from $15.50 up to $266.00 depending on size. That spread covers everything from a small bottle to try it in, up to a large option for a salon or household that goes through it constantly.
